Resin Wire Wrapping Pendant with Polymer Clay Feather

$6.70 $8.93

To set this very special handmade cabochon I used silver plated copper wire, non-tarnish type, which means it does not oxidize over time.

Feather pendant
The main component has a rectangular shape, I have incorporated in the resin a polymer clay feather (created with the murrine technique) and some small decorations such as turquoise glass micro-pearls and mother-of-pearl flakes, a work of patience and precision.
The pendant measures approximately 30 x 60 mm.
It has a simple, silver nickel free lobster clasp closure.
The length of the silver metal chain (nickel free) is 50 cm, pendant not included.

The feather is linked to a world of different symbols and meanings: in general it has a positive connotation and is chosen as a lucky charm or used to symbolize dreams, desires and lightness of the soul.
The colored plume symbolizes mostly the idea of dream and desire, directly referring to the Native American culture that sees feathers as a positive element of protection from negativity.
The Native Americans, in fact, used the feathers of the birds, especially the eagle - divine animal - to bring the prayers and their desires to the gods, as a lucky charm.
