Soutache is a manual embroidery technique born in Eastern Europe that takes its name from a viscose braid (sujtas) originally used to sew the frogs of military coats. This ribbon or braid sewn together with stones, pearls and crystals allows you to create fantastic jewels, clasps, accessories and decorations for clothes.

The soutache technique has a very ancient origin and takes us back to Eastern Europe, Russia and Poland, to the times when the clothes of the Tsars were decorated. this technique spread first in France in 1900, then, later also in Italy and was used to decorate the costumes of the film "The Leopard" by Luchino Visconti.

The strap is joined by points with needle and thread made in such a way as to create a harmonious jewel in its shape and where the points are not clearly visible.

All the jewels are made with high quality strips and the metal components are nickel free. Resin cabochons are handmade.
